This week’s Spanish video lesson concentrates on the cinema in Peru. Luis Peirano, Minister of Culture, has noticed a growing public interest for national cinema, and is working on making this art form more available throughout the country. This resulted in the opening of the Robles Godoy room, used exclusively for exhibitions of Peruvian cinema. Peirano emphasized that investing in culture has a large impact on the economy, and many organizations and universities are helping to increase awareness of national cinema within Peru.
